The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 和奥逊·威尔斯那版的《麦克白》相比，故事讲得更丝滑、更工整，但是情感却显得如此的单薄。形式上的美大于一切吧。相较于丹泽尔·华盛顿扮演的麦克白，麦克多蒙德扮演的麦克白夫人更出彩一些。

极简的布景反而更衬演技 大量的独白不抓马也不违和 算是优质的改编了
表现主义的极简舞台布景和精湛的摄影与表演，再加上极其抓人的重音鼓点；乔尔·科恩携丹泽尔·华盛顿与弗兰西斯·麦克多蒙德将莎剧凝聚到100余分钟黑白电影的结果显然是出色的。对于《麦克白》这样的作品，故事本身轮不到我等俗人来多嘴，而科恩本次看似四平八稳的改编实则可能是最好的选择。

科恩这回玩极简风，突出演技，突出台词，突出摄影，灯光和舞美。简化场景，简化化妆道具，简化服装。要知道剧本是科恩强项，完全舍去，科恩在摄影和极简舞美上成功了。
众所周知，科恩是黑泽明粉丝，黑泽明是莎翁粉丝。所以这部电影是不是透过的布层有点多了，反而费劲。
布景好喜欢，其他也有不少可圈可点的地方，但终究还是不及《蜘蛛巢城》这座大山所刻画的深入。

最出彩的是王后，最复杂的是那个奴隶似的传话官，但“麦克白”本身似乎还少了一点。
视觉设计上的独树一格，戏剧情节上的昏昏欲睡。
ps.科恩嫂什么都好，就是走路姿势注意一下，自身走路方式太有标志性了
想了一下这座城堡甚至可以拍所有莎翁的戏 保留古英语最大程度还原莎翁的戏本，演员在里面反而不重要了其实
纽约电影节看的首映。完全舞台化的打光和表演，转场很惊艳。
形式上做到很多了
这部已经用了这样的主创，还是不得要领。
宛如德莱叶回来拍了部《麦克白》，“先把那房间填满，然后一点一点的去掉”。没想到比15年那版还要极简风。
