The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 莫名的很好看，中間偶爾穿插一些笑點，歌也唱得很好聽，但是主題曲普普😂

我原本以为会发展成其他几个角色每个人都会来一首歌，大多数都是配角，Antonio有很多预告出现的画面没在正片出现，日常预告骗，we dont talk about bruno其实就是洗脑，我更加喜欢Luisa和Isabela那两首，Camilo没感觉到为什么网络上那么多人喜欢，其实戏份挺少的，甚至不如Dolores存在感强。
Outcast 这种主题本来挺好，可是没用合理展开。一下子和好也挺扯的

喜欢前半部分不完备AI与歌舞的嵌合，吉浦将跨越式人工智能的神性挪移为带有后设意味的故事推进的歌舞部分，实在巧妙，可惜的是，在大河内缺乏敬畏的嫁接之下，后半部分滑入了自慰般的孩子们的七日战争

这是一部春节前非常适合带小朋友们去看的电影，去影院感受那五彩斑斓的魔法、绚烂多姿的歌舞、以及来自家人间的爱和温暖吧！😉
要是画风变了，我会以为是迪士尼。三年级小学生创造智能可接收指令AI，确实很梦幻。
内核非常的青春片，故事节奏很流畅，画面表现力也很强。虽然对于类似的故事套路很熟悉了，但最后发现诗音是“谁”的时候还是很感动。
一个家族能够生存一下去，是需要爱，不是对家人的否定，祖孙解戏码的故事。其实每个人都是有天赋的，只是没有被发觉出来。可能你的天赋是对整个家族命运的改变。其中Bruno（布鲁诺）是指敏感，富有灵感，是理想主义者。欣赏生活中一切美好的事物，在音乐，艺术，戏剧或文学方面会有突出表现。热爱宁静和谐的大自然。缺乏自信，逃避争执和混乱。

被音乐耽误了的及格电影，女主的技能应该是“嘴炮”。因为被电影中并不算好听的主题曲轰炸过头而迟迟未看，故事设定有趣，画面配色艳而不俗，人物动画造型可爱，对墨西哥传统文化刻画得非常通俗易懂。但情节发展还是有些流于表面，人物形象扁平，矛盾和危机化解得太轻而易举，并不打动人，可惜了。
