The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 演员大多都还不错，其余方方面面都很欠缺。拍摄，剪辑，台词，剧情的设计都经常莫名其妙，也不能说是粗糙，用心但能力有限吧。真实事件改编，题材有点被可惜到，论流畅舒服还是欧美。
刻意煽情，这种程度的所谓反抗是不能成事的。

另外三位南非“革命先驱”在片中形象真的一点都不高大全。男主卡尔文有哮喘，也不像是特别聪明的人。但当你看到他们为了那个在当时根本不可能达成的目标而拼上一切时，又深深的使人动容……
