The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 曾经看似秩序井然的社会，在疫情的袭击下不堪一击，暴露出本就有的问题。逼仄狭小的护理院，扑面而来的压迫感和窒息感，面对生命的一个个离去，国家对其的置之不理，表面上说着“不会丢下他们，所有的生命都值得被尊重”，却在用实际行动表示着生命就是明码标价不平等的。在偌大的国家面前，个体的痛苦，对弱势群体的怜悯，对体制的质问……都显得微不足道，毫无意义，影片中时不时出现的HELP显得那样苍白无力。
当我们以为媒体新闻的报道已经让我们见识到太多疫情下的不幸，影片却提醒了我们更多不曾看到的挣扎。特殊的时期、煎熬的成长环境、特别的友情，在医院哭和车后座的控诉，Jodie真的很能演到点！

1.电影并不是抗疫的主题，新冠只是背景，表现的还是人。
后三十分钟的剧本太过潦草突兀，直接削弱了整部电影的感染力，很可惜
医疗体系被击溃的时候，人类的生命和尊严会远远比影片中来得残酷吧。Jodie的口音真的好奶～
